Reflections

Experience

Throughout this module, I learned a lot about Photoshop. I used to work using Photoshop before but at that time I still lack knowledge about Photoshop but this module really opened my eye about Photoshop, I get to learn a lot of new tools and skills on how to use Photoshop, especially after the workshop on Photoshop that I attended on Week 14. I also came to use After Effects for the first time which is pretty fun and interesting. When we were first introduced to it it's kind of hard to use After Effects but I'm getting the hang of it now and I really enjoy using it to edit videos. The only thing I hate about it is the fact that every time I made a few changes again to my video, I will have to reload the whole thing in order to preview it. But I definitely learned a lot and I'm excited about what I will be learning and how I will be using it in the future.

Observations

Through this semester I observed that my knowledge and skills in using Photoshop and After Effects definitely improved. I also observed that I'm not very good at Surrealism yet, looking at my project 1 which I'm not very satisfied with. But of course, I will keep on learning and improve myself. I also observed myself finishing the task for this module faster than the other modules, maybe because I'm kind of getting a hang of it now.

Findings

I found that I'm actually enjoying myself using After Effects a lot. As for Photoshop, I really like drawing on it compared to using it to edit stuff but editing using Photoshop is what Photoshop is for. I also found myself wanting to be more skilled in terms of using these software to work. I can't wait to learn more in the coming semesters using these software and even new software that will be needed for our exercises and projects.
