Reflection

Experience

This module definitely gave me a good experience in developing myself in terms of coming up with an idea, being creative, and thinking of what to design as well as why I'm designing something a certain way. Of course, I also gained some new experiences such as generating my own font, which is the most exciting moment even though my font was just 'okay'. There were also times where I simply have no idea and don't know what kind of design to come up with but as I attend classes and receive feedbacks from both Mr. Vinod and Mr. Shamsul, I can slowly come up with an idea and developing what I already have in mind. Throughout this semester, I also question myself a lot, whether or not I'm taking the right course and whether I'm up being a designer.

Observation

What I observed after this semester is that I'm always stuck in only a few style of design. It's like I'm scared to venture and explore more ideas and express myself better and more confidently. But by the end of the semester, I can definitely see myself trying to be more bold in terms of coming up with ideas and designing.

Findings

I tend to always find myself loving but at the same time hating the fact that I have to work on a project for this module. But I also find myself having a lot of fun where I sometimes found myself looking forward to classes to get feedbacks so I can widen my perspective some more on the ideas that I have in mind for new and more interesting ideas. I also find myself wanting to learn more and improve myself in typography, whether it's in font design, calligraphy, type expression, and most definitely poster design.
