Week 5
(27th of April 2018)

On the fifth week, Mr. Hafiz briefed us on what we need to do for our second project which is Metamorphosis, changing one object to another using the principles of animation which are rotate, break, etc. Each of use are to come up with an object and we should be animating the object to another person's object. I decided to draw a strawberry where I will be animating my strawberry into my friend's object which is a lamp. Mr. Hafiz wanted us to finish our drawings by tomorrow and have at least the middle drawing by Monday. The techniques that we will be using for this is Pose to Pose animation.

Week 6
(30th of April 2018)

Mr. Hafiz gave us a lecture on timing, stretch and squash, as well as other techniques that we may want to use for our projects. After the lecture, Mr. Hafiz wanted to look at our extreme point and wanted us to try and have at least 9 frames before classes ends.

I will be drawing a lot of frames to make sure that the animation is as smooth as possible although I'm sometimes confused as to how I should be drawing my next frame. I managed to draw around 40 drawings for my project. However, when I play the animation, there's something about the animation that looked a bit draggy and weird. I decided to go through one by one and try to cut out a few frames that made it look weird.

Then I tried to readjust the position of some frames that looked like it's kind of reversing the animation. Here's also some of the colors that I used throughout the animation.

Afterwards, I tried to arrange the frames to make it play in a loop and in reverse.
Here's how it turned out.

Week 7
(7th of May 2018)
On the seventh week of class, I showed Mr. Hafiz my work. Mr. Hafiz said that it was good enough but he mentioned that all parts of the strawberry are transforming all together. So Mr. Hafiz explained about the timing of the animation. He suggested that I could try to transform the flesh and the leaves of the strawberry first, then have the seeds transform to the head of the lamp in the end to kind of give it a final transformation. But overall he said my work is okay already so If I wanted to try and make it better I can do so. Since I have some time, I tried to improve my work.

Above are my final result after trying to adjust with the timing and taking in Mr. Hafiz's suggestion.
