Week 7
(7th of May 2018)
Mr. Hafiz briefed us on out third project which is Lip Sync and Walk Cycle where we will first be doing walk cycle. We were asked to think of a walk cycle that's a little exaggerated to make it easier for us to draw. We took a side view and 3/4 front view video of the walk cycle that we have in mind and were required to analyze it and study how everything works. Then by next week, we will be going on a trip to Farm in the City to look at animals, observe them from different perspective. During then we will be required to choose and draw an animal that we set our eyes on.
I also tried to draw the walk cycle I chose based on the video my friend took for me.

The side view wasn't centralized enough so I used this as reference instead even though it's kind of blurry.

I only managed to translate the 3/4 front view walk cycle properly.

Week 8
(14th of May 2018)
On the eighth week, we went to Farm in the City to look at and choose the animals that we wanted to draw. I wanted to draw a guinea pig at first but then I saw meerkat, which kind of suits the walk cycle I chose since meerkat has long arms and legs. Below are a few pictures that I took of the meerkat.

Mr. Hafiz explained to us how to draw limbs of animals and what we should take not of when trying to change them into simple shapes. I find it pretty difficult to draw animals as I can never really draw them well despite trying to draw them simply so this project will be quite challenging for me. Mr. Hafiz explained how opposite a straight line is always a curve. We were also told to take note of the points in the anatomy of the animals.
I took a few video of the meerkat which I converted to .gif for me to draw them later on on Adobe Animate. It looked really fast in the .gif but once I import it on Animate, I will still be able to draw it.

I also looked for a few references on meerkats online, to make it easier for me to understand and learn more about their anatomy.

On the ninth week, Mr. Hafiz consulted us on our walk cycle project. I was asked to remove a few frames as Mr. Hafiz explained more about the drawings that I need to draw for my walk cycle.

After trying to adjust based on Mr. Hafiz's feedback, here's all my final.

Afterwards, Mr. Hafiz explained about the second part of the third project which is lip syncing. We will be using the animal that we drew and based on the audios that Mr. Hafiz uploaded in Google Classroom, we need to create a lip sync of the animal to the voice. Mr. Hafiz gave a a small exercise for us to try and explained about how we should place everything in Animate.
Week 10
(28th of May 2018)
On the tenth week, we're supposed to submit our third project while Mr. Hafiz briefed us on our final project. Mr. Hafiz look at all our work and gave us some final feedbacks before asking us to make adjustment and submit. Mr. Hafiz asked me to try and move the eyes of the meerkat as it speaks because it looked weird with no expression. For the walk cycle as well, Mr. Hafiz asked me to do a little bit more of adjustment on the left leg.
